EFM Range of Iron and Manganese Filters

The EFM Range of Iron and Manganese Filters has been designed to provide an effective treatment for iron and manganese contamination.

The filters require water with a minimum pH value of 6.8 and any application that has water with a pH value below this will need pre-treatment.

All units use potassium permanganate as a regeneration chemical.  A small tank is also included in with the filter for storage of the chemical. This tank automatically controls the chemical consumption and requires replenishment approximately every 12 months.

The units feature a time clock controlled automatic backwashing multiport valve mounted on a GRP Pressure Vessel.

These units are supplied with the media in separate bags which are charged into the filter vessel during commissioning.  An initial charge of potassium permanganate is included.

All Filters require a 240-volt 50Hz 13Amp socket and a drain for backwash waters capable of handling a flow of up to 1m³/hr.

All filters bypass raw water to service during backwash.

·     Optional bypass closedown valves are available.

·     Level and pump control systems are available to work in conjunction with these systems.
